Chetan Bhagat‘s next book will release on Diwali 2016 and it will be a first person account and as a female! Seriously!? I had to go through his tweet thrice to confirm that I read the right thing. See for yourself.
With God's blessings and your support, my new fiction novel, writing for the first time in female first person, will release Diwali 2016.

So, it’s confirmed that Chetan is going to spin magic, enter a woman’s mind and write through a female outlook. He also wrote on Twitter that “Not revealing title or other details for new book. Please wait until Diwali 2016. Just really excited and nervous to write in female voice.”
New York Times described him as “the biggest-selling English language novelist in India’s history“. So how tough can it be for him to do this?
For one, this guy wrote this in his book Two States,
Why should any guy want to be ONLY friends with a girl? It’s like agreeing to be near a chocolate cake and never eat it. It’s like sitting in a racing car but not driving it.
Well, twitterattis have something to say about it.

His latest book half girlfriend was a tremendous flop. remember the line, “Deti hai toh de varna Kat le!“
Chetan, remember the time when you commented on Historians and how that turned out. Well, do the female first person thing at a huge risk and then there’s twitter for the humor.
I honestly hope you do proper research and have a very real experience writing this book. Basically, I and every other woman wants you to be a woman all the while you write this book. Because only then you’ll know.
