We take pride in the fact that we are 90s kids and why not!? We are the perfect combination of the old and the new. In the wake of the millennium, we took up the trendiest trends while keeping nostalgia intact. Even now, a hint of those days brings a wide smile on our faces and we are left thinking, “Kya din they woh…”
To take you back to those beautiful memory lanes, here’s celebrating the 20 best childhood memories as a 90’s kid!

When we tried making the biggest gum bubble
When it was a cool thing to have a walkman
Also a cool thing to have the turquoise shade of Chelpark
When our pocket money saw its way to music cassettes
Remember rubbing chalk to make these whiter on PT mornings?
And chewing the back of these two-in-one pencils?

Aaya kya? Nahi! (slightly twisting) Ab aaya kya? Nahi… Ha. Ha, ab aaya!
Do you still have these? I bet they are still somewhere in an old box.
And how proudly our mothers used to hang them to our necks
Exam time made us nervous but we miss it now
And we miss the summer holidays playing marbles
While the evenings had us busy painting masterpieces
We didn’t have many options then, we didn’t need many actually
Oh, do you still have that letter from your best friend that summer? I do!
Every new session would start with neatly covering out notebooks!
Amazing how a family of four would fit on these! Where was your spot?
Sunday noons will never be the same without you, Shaktimaan. But we still try & follow your ‘Choti choti magar Moti baatein!’
Life seems to have changed hugely. Most of these don’t even exist anymore and in a few years, we might even see them in museums. Life has gotten us busy, so busy, that we fail to stop and realize its beauty. I agree, life will never be as pretty as the 90’s but time will always teach us to be happy.
Take a moment and let the feeling sink in – The feeling of having no deadlines and no tension, the feeling of an absolutely carefree life, and slowly you will realize that “Pata nahi kab bade ho gaye…”
